| The area around the Smuggler's Inn is just gorgeous. |

| Now heading along Cliff Road towards Waterville. |
![]() |
| Still on Cliff Road... the scenery is just so stunning that I'm taking copious amounts of photos and not travelling very far. |

| Looking back towards Murreagh. |

| Waterville appears in the distance. |

| Cliff Road, Top Cross. |

| And back onto the N70 and Ring of Kerry. |

| A spot of maintenance on the Butler's Arms. |
![]() |
| What's this? |
![]() |
| Charlie Chaplin was the last person I expected to see in a statue in Waterville. |
![]() |
| Loch Currane is on the Ring of Kerry list of sights to see... |

| Southview Terrace, Waterville. |
![]() |
| Still on Southview Terrace. |
![]() |
| I swear, this is a road called Lower Main Street, Waterville. |
![]() |
| No question that it's utterly beautiful. |

| Back onto Lower Main Street, Waterville. |

| The bridge over Loch Currane (the Loch is on the left, ocean on the right). |
![]() |
| The sign says 'Currane River'. |
![]() |
| Looking towards the coast. |
![]() |
| I think that's the ocean in the distance. |
![]() |
| Looking inland... that's a waterwheel! |
![]() |
| If only. |
![]() |
| My first view of the Eightercua stone alignment. |
![]() |
| Even from a distance it looks impressive. |
![]() |
| And a... FAIRY TREE! |
![]() |
| The site features four tall slabs from 1.8m to 3m high running east and west. From one stone a slab runs south and could be part of a tomb chamber or cist set in an oval cairn 1m high. |
![]() |
| Surrounding artifacts, including remains of a possible tomb and an ancient enclosure, suggest that the site had a ritual purpose at one time. |
![]() |
| Eightercua is thought to originate from circa. 1700 BC, and by tradition is the burial place of Scéine, wife of the leader of the Milesian invaders, Amergin mac Míled. |

| Time to look for a B&B. I'm going to have to backtrack a mile to Waterville. |
![]() |
| I didn't get very far this outing but the views were so beautiful. |
